Naadam is the biggest festival of the year for Mongolians and is held in the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar during the National Holiday from July 11-13. It begins with an elaborate introduction ceremony featuring dancers, athletes, horse riders, and musicians. After the opening ceremony, the competitions begin. As usual, it runs for three days in all parts of the country and consists of horse racing, archery, and wrestling. These competitions are called the manly games. Women participate in all but the wrestling category. Main Naadam festival in the UB, tournaments may take place in a separate venue.

Karakorum is Mongolian ancient capital city and was founded in 1220 in Orkhon Valley. Today the symbolic ruins of the first Buddhist monastery in Mongolia Erdene Zuu left which was built on the ground of the Karakorum in 1586.
